To All Who Helped:
In many households across our great country it is a Thanksgiving Tradition to tell everyone around the table what you are thankful for. I’m guessing that family, friends, health and freedom are likely to top the list; and certainly for good reason.
But during this specific Thanksgiving Holiday, your name, your company, your organization was also included in the list of family and friends, health and freedom- and rightfully so. For you gave of yourself for the benefit of someone you didn’t even know.
When you heard there was a young man who had, through no fault of his own, been paralyzed in a freak accident… you agreed to help. Perhaps you gave of your time, or of your talents. Or perhaps you arranged for the gift of materials or of your own financial resources. Regardless of the method of your giving it was given in a gracious unselfish spirit and it was put to good use.
Because of your generosity, a once in-accessible home has become barrier free allowing Brad Humphrey and his mother to return home to a safe place to live. A fully compliant ADA bathroom and ramp with deck has replaced the deteriorated cramped bathroom and original concrete stoops and steps. The doorways were widened and energy efficient egress compliant windows have replaced the old unsafe small aluminum ones. Plus a new furnace and A/C unit along with house wrap and new siding will make living there so much more affordable. And all this was possible because of all of you.
I am so proud to be associated with such a wonderful and caring group of people… and I am thankful for all of you.!
A belated Happy Thanksgiving!
